I'm a writer-artist living in Oakland, CA. I make art using words, visuals, and movement.

I work in a variety of mediums including:

  • photography: photojournalism, street photography, portrait
  • writing: fiction, non-fiction, long form journalism
  • video: music video, commercial
  • dance choreography: modern, improvised
  • drawing and painting
  • sculpture

I work with MICRO, a nonprofit that builds micro museums — deeply researched, award-winning educational displays that are installed in unexpected locations. I also work independently as a photographer + videographer for clients like Airbnb and Threshold 360, and as an independent book editor.

I'm a photographer for Everyday Bay Area— an Instagram-centric photojournalism project run by Catchlight.  And as a guest speaker at colleges, high schools, and other educational organizations, I frequently talk to students about written + photo journalism.

I studied literature, dance, and studio art at The New School, where I received my B.A. in Creative Writing.
